Former Ministers, Chief Femi Fani Kayode and Mrs Nenadi Usman have lost the application they filed at a federal high court in Apo, Abuja, to challenge their detention by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Justice Olukayode Adeniyi, ruling on the fundamental human rights suits filed by the former minister, said they lack merit.
The judge said their detention by EFCC was not illegal because it was supported by a court order.
Justice Adeniyi, however cautioned EFCC against arresting and detaining suspects for the purpose of investigations.
Fani Kayode who was the spokesman of the Jonathan 2015 presidential campaign organization and Usman who was the campaign finance director were arraigned by EFCC for alleged money laundering.
