An Osogbo High Court has cleared Senator Ademola Adeleke, to contest the Osun State September 22 governorship poll, on the platform of PDP.
The court dismisses a petition filed by two PDP members, Rasheed Olabayo and Oluwaseun Idowu, challenging his candidacy for the poll, for lacking merit.
The plaintiff had asked the court to stop Adeleke from contesting the poll on PDP platform, for not possessing a secondary school certificate.
Justice David Oladimeji, in his judgement, rules that the plaintiffs failed to address the allegation that the senator forged his secondary school certificate.
Justice Oladimeji also ruled that the maker of the purported certificate ought to have been called upon to deny the certificate issued to the senator, before it could be regarded as forged.
