CORRUPTION TRIAL: Dasuki again alleges persecution

Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, has told a Federal High Court in Abuja, that he is being penalized by some top people in the Buhari government, for some perceived grievances against him while still in the army.

Dasuki who is standing trial for alleged arms procurement fraud said that was why he remained in detention since his arrest late 2015.

The former National Security Adviser through his lead counsel, Joseph Daudu, stated this while reacting to the request by the prosecution that his trial should be held in secret.

Recalling that several courts granted him bail when he was first arraigned last December, Dasuki said he is still in detention, and therefore depends on God as the ultimate judge.
