A Federal High Court in Lagos, has ordered a permanent forfeiture of fund in bank accounts linked to former first lady, Patience Jonathan.
The monies, include $8.4 million and n7.4 billion which Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is demanding their forfeiture.
Last April 20, Justice Mojisola Olatoregun, of a Federal High Court, Lagos, granted an interim forfeiture of the monies in the bank accounts.
The Judge, in her ruling on Monday, says she is convinced that the monies are the proceeds of unlawful activities.
She ordered the permanent forfeiture and the payment of the monies into Federal Government’s account with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
