Commonwealth 2018: Aruna Quadri loses table tennis final to Gao Ning of singapore

Aruna Quadri has been beaten by Ning Gao of Singapore four to sets in a men’s table tennis singles final of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Game played on Sunday.

Quadri who was rated number one player at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, bounced back from two sets, 11-7, 11-8, before winning the third and forth set 11-3, 11-5 to draw level at two –all.

The Nigeria’s hope of winning gold in the table-tennis event was however dashed, after Quadri lost the fifth sets 11-9 and sixth set 11-5 to Ning Gao who clinched the gold medal.
