Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has unveiled its agro rangers unit to provide security for farmers and cattle herders in Ogun State.
The agro rangers will also provide security in forests across the state.
The Ogun State commandant of the corps, hameed abodunrin, announced this while decorating the 200 newly promoted officers at the state command headquaters in Abeokuta.
The command, according to Abodunrin, has acquired horses to enable the agro rangers gain access into forests to check criminals using them to perpetrate crimes.
Also, choppers, speed boats, bicycles, motorcycles and other means of transportation have been acquired for operational duties by the agro rangers
