Chinedu Obasi quits Chinese club for AIK return

Chinedu Obasi scores in debut match with Chinese club

Former Super Eagles forward, Chinedu Obasi, has left Chinese second division club, Shenzhen FC, to join Swedish club, AIK.

Obasi, who shot to limelight, at the 2005 FIFA under-20 World Cup, terminated his contract with the Chinese outfit to rejoin AIK.

He previously played for AIK in 2016 before moving to Shenzhen in January 2017.

Obasi has been presented the number 20 jersey and now awaits the Swedish Football Association for registration and clearance.

He is expected to report in Sweden on August 1 to begin club duties according to AIK’s website.
