Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has directed churches nationwide to obey the directive of their respective state governments on the New Year crossover services, to combat the fresh wave of Covid 19
The organization in a statement by its president, Reverend Samson Ayokunle, advises that in states where there is a total ban on the service, churches there should end all their new year cross over by 11 pm
Ayokunle says that CAN is not happy at a total ban on crossover services, but says no sacrifice is too much to end the pandemic which has put the whole world in unfortunate situation
Meanwhile, Osun State government has reversed itself on its ban on crossover night vigil services on December 31 to January 1
The state government says it will allow the cross over night vigil services Information Commissioner, Funke Egbemode, in a statement, however, directs everybody attending such services to be off the streets by 1 am, warning that security agencies had been directed to enforce the night curfew
