The hope of Nigeria and Chelsea winger, Victor Moses, to emerge Africa Player of the Year 2017 has finally been dashed, as he failed to make the final three-man shortlist nominated by CAF.
The confederation of African football on Monday, listed Egyptian Mohammed Salah, Senegal’s Sadio Mane and Gabonese international, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, as the final three players that will compete for the award.
Meanwhile, Super Falcons Striker, Asisat Oshoala, was nominated among the final three in the women category.
Super Eagles Gaffer, Gernot Rohr, also made the final cut, for the Coach of the Year category.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles was nominated alongside Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Pharaohs of Egypt, for the National Team of the year award.
The winner of these awards will be announced in Accra, Ghana, on 4 January, 2018.
