President Muhammadu Buhari has said he is more concerned with the issues of security and economy, than the 2019 polls.
Buhari who had already declared interests in the 2019 presidential race, accuses other politicians of being more obsessive about the 2019 polls.
The president spoke on the issue during a bilateral meeting with the UK Prime Minister, Theresa May at the 10 Downing Street in London, said that Nigerians need to reflect on how the problems facing the country develops.
He recalled that he promised to tackle insecurity, revive the economy and fight corruption while campaigning for the 2015 polls .
“We campaigned on three major issues, to secure the country, revive the economy and fight corruption,” said the President.
“We have elections next year, politicians are already pre-occupied with the polls, but I am bothered more about security and the economy,” he said.
