President Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to Nigerians to refrain from reprisal attacks against killings by herdsmen and bandits in the north central region.
According to him, the Presidency is working round the clock to end killings and restore stability to the region.
Buhari spoke on the security crisis, while commissioning the Comprehensive Special School, in Lafia, Nasarawa State during his official visit to the state.
The President, warning that attacks by herdsmen and bandits will not be tolerated, said that additional security resources are being deployed to all the affected states.
According to him, security forces had been given the standing order, to arrest and prosecute anybody found with illegal arms.
He condoled and sympathized with all those affected by conflicts in the region.
