Former Chairman of the House of Reps Appropriation Committee, Abdulmumuni Jubrin, has asked the speaker, his deputy and other principal officers of the house to vacate their offices over the 2016 budget padding controversy.
Jibrin who was removed as the Chairman of the Appropriation Committee by Dogara on Wednesday, said the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, his deputy, Yusuf Lasun, the Minority Leader, Leo Ogor, and the Chief Whip, Alhassan Doguwa, lack the moral rectitude to remain in office.
Jibrin in a statement on Thursday accused them of singlehandedly illegally allocation N60 billion from the 2016 budget bill submitted by the President.
Jibrin who claimed to have documented evidence to back up his allegation, also said he was not comfortable with the speaker over the proposal for immunity for himself and the senate leadership.
Spokesman of the house, Abdulrazak Namdez, however, asked Nigerians to ignore the allegations, saying they were fabricated.
