Boundary Commission urged to resolve Ogun, Ondo dispute

Ondo State government has asked the National Boundary Commission (NBC) to end the boundary dispute between Ogun and Ondo States.

Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi, made the call while receiving at the Government House, Akure, officials of the commission who are in the state, to conduct ethnographic study on the boundary disputes.

The study which will last one week, will be conducted in four Ondo state’s local government areas of Ondo West, Okitipupa, Odigbo and Ilaje.

The Deputy Governor told the commission’s officials that people from Ilado, Ikale and Ayila communities regard themselves as indigenes of Ondo State and not that of Ogun State.

Agboola said, “The people from the above mentioned communities are residents of Ondo State  and have always cooperated with the state government.’’
