About 22,000 people are missing in the north east region, following insurgent attacks, according to the International Committee of Red Cross Society (ICRC)
ICRC President, Peter Mauer who made this known to newsmen at end of his five day visit to Nigeria, says most of them got missing while fleeing from insurgents attacks
The number of missing persons, according to him, is the highest recorded by the society in any country.
ICRC, according to him, will work with Nigerian Red Cross Society to trace the missing Nigerians by using their photographs, calling out their names from door-to-door search in internally displaced communities.
The society, he explains had been able to trace 367 missing persons since it handle the case of missing persons in 2013.
