The Bank of Agriculture (BOA) plans to expand its brand to all the 774 local government areas in the country.
The bank said, through its Accelerated Agricultural Development Scheme (AADS), it intends to engage the army of unemployed youths between the age range of 18 and 35, who are interested in sustainable and profitable activities in the agriculture value chain.
BOA’s Executive Director (Partnership and Strategy), Gabriel Okenwa, made this known in Abuja, at a regional sensitization workshop on ‘capacity building of technical experts and stakeholders on the sustainable development of the ECOWAS region’ organized by the Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa
He said that N200 billion has been earmarked to implement the programme.
