The Niger delta avengers responsible for most of the attacks on the oil and gas installations in the Niger delta region has indicated readiness to drop its arms and join the ongoing talks to end the attacks.
The militant group in a Message posted on its website, said it was ready to ceasefire to support any efforts to negotiated with the representatives of the presidency, the home countries of the major oil companies operating in the Niger delta region and neutral mediators.
The militant group, however, said it will only join talks put in place by the ijaw leader, chief Edwin Clarke, aims at achieving the short, medium and long term framework and objectives.
it said the framework and objectives were in various reports, declarations and recommendations on the Niger delta region since the pre-independence era.
Another major militant group, the movement for the emancipation of the Niger delta (mend) was already in proxy talks with the presidency.
