The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) said it will meet with the Presidency again this week to explore ways of ending the more than two month old strike by public universities lecturers.
ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi who made this known in an interview said he expects a positive outcome from the proposed meeting.
He explained that ASUU is still consulting with its members in the universities on the federal government’s offers from the negotiations held so far on the outstanding issues in the 2009 and 2017 agreements.
Ogunyemi said the association is already in contact with ASUU chapters in at least 20 Federal Universities to monitor the implementation of the offers.
