President Muhammadu Buhari said every assets recovered from corrupt officials by his administration must be accounted for.
He warned that the embezzlement or diversion of such recovered assets into private pockets will not be allowed.
Buhari issued the warning, while inaugurating a committee to audit all the assets recovered by federal government agencies up to April 10, 2017.
He directed the committee to audit all bank accounts in which the recovered assets were lodged.
The president recalled earlier directing federal agencies to submit to him, detailed report on the recovered assets.
The committee, whose members are Olufemi Lijadu, Mrs Gloria Bibigha and Mohammed Nami, is given four weeks to submit its report to the president.
