Ogun state House of Assembly is to begin an appraisal of the state 2016 N200 billion budget.
The house committees are scheduled to begin oversight visit to the Government’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as from September 5.
The Speaker, Suraj Adekunbi who made this known during the house plenary in Abeokuta, asked the MDAs to cooperate with the relevant standing committees during their over-sight visit.
The budget passed by the assembly last December 29th included recurrent expenditure of N100.98 billion, while the capital vote took N99.2 billion.
The financial crisis due to the sharp drop in allocation from the federation account, has prevented the state government from implementing most of the key projects earmarked for execution in the budget.
