Assembly Tasks Pharmacists To Initiate Bill To End Quackery

Ogun State House of Assembly has asked the state branch of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) to initiate a bill to checkmate medical quacks  and enhance the practice of pharmacists in the state.

The state Assembly Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo gave the charge in Abeokuta while hosting the society’s delegation led by its state Chairman, Pharmacist Lawrence Ayelabola.

Oluomo explains that such a bill will empower pharmacists to control the alarming rate of drugs abuse in  the state.

He assures that the state assembly will support the move aimed at reviewing any of the existing law for the betterment of the state.

The state pharmaceutical society chairman had earlier asked the state assembly to sponsor the bill to protect the public from quacks who dispense fake drugs and engage in illicit drugs.
