APC cautions PDP from crippling activities at National Assembly

Leader of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has asked PDP caucus in the National Assembly to withdraw their threat not to reconvene, to consider the 2019 supplementary appropriation bill.

The PDP caucus, had threatened not to resume from their recess, to consider the bill submitted by Buhari, to protest the crisis in the Benue State House of Assembly, where they allege that the presidency is aiding eight members to initiate an impeachment process against the state governor.

The house leader asks the caucus to go to court and challenge the police siege on the Benue state house of assembly, instead of dragging President Muhammadu Buhari into the crisis.

Gbajabiamila reminded the PDP caucus that they could not ground proceedings in the House of Representatives, because APC still has the constitutional requirement of one third of members to form a quorum to reconvene the house.
