APC has cancelled its governorship primaries in Ekiti State which was disrupted last Saturday in Ado Ekiti.
A fresh governorship primaries will hold on Friday.
The party’s national working committee took the decision after considering the report of the committee set up to investigate the crisis during the primaries.
The party’s spokesman, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, who announces the decision, says that all agents of the candidates, linked to the disruption of the cancelled primaries, had been banned from participating in the fresh primaries.
Meanwhile, the South West leaders of APC, led by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, have met to resolve the dispute among the 33 candidates who participated in the cancelled primaries.
APC former interim national chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, during a break in the meeting which took place in Lagos, refused comment on the way forward in the Ekiti APC crisis.
Other APC leaders at the meeting attended by 30 of the candidates, included Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and Governor Tanko al-Makura who was the congress chairman of the cancelled primaries.
