Members of opposition political parties, including the all progressive congress (APC) in Ekiti State, have staged an anti-government protests in Ado Ekiti.
The protesters among other calls asked Governor Ayodele Fayose to waive his immunity and face corruption allegation leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Fayose has challenged EFCC in court over his account in a branch of Zenith Bank in ado Ekiti, frozen by EFCC for allegedly containing fund traced to arms procurement fund.
The placard carrying protesters chanting anti-government slogans marched from Fajuyi roundabout to Ijibo.
The state chairman of the conference of political parties of Nigeria, Tunji Oguntola, asked the presidency not to release the proposed bailout fund to governor Fayose, and to investigate the earlier N9.6 billion bailout released to the state government.
