Senate asks FG to conduct Fresh Census in 2018

Another Senator has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta state central senatorial district, defected from the Labour Party to join APC.

Announcing his defection on the floor of the Senate, Omo-Agege explained that he took the decision, following the crisis in Labour Party, and directive from members of his constituency.

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Labour Party, LP, Delta Central on Tuesday dumped his party for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

With his defection, only Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senators are now the opposition to the ruling APC in the Senate.

Last month, Senators Andy Uba from Anambra state and Nelson Effiong from Akwa Ibom state, defected from PDP to APC.

Last year, PDP also lost two Senators, Joshua Dariye and Yele Omogunwa to APC.
