Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the two day Anambra State governorship poll inconclusive.
The poll was declared inconclusive due to the failure of the poll to hold in Ihiara local government area.
INEC returning officer, Professor Florence Obi, announcing this, said a supplementary poll will be conducted on Tuesday in the local government area.
Obi speaking on Sunday night, at the end of the results collation exercise in Awka, said the final results will be declared after the conduct of the supplementary poll.
Professor Charles Soludo of the ruling all progressive grand alliance was in a clear lead in the results declared so far from 20 out of the state’s 21 local government areas.
Soludo scored 103,946 votes, trailed by valentine Ozigbo of the PDP who polled 51,332 votes, and Andu Uba of the APC with 42,942 votes.
The situation is dicey, as Soludo is leading with 45,000 votes, while 148,000 votes were at stake in the Ihiara local government area where the supplementary poll will hold on Tuesday.
