Amosun Tasks Babcock Varsity

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state has called on Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, to engage in researches to assist the state government to better polish and treat its indigenous rice, popularly known as ‘ofada rice’.

 Amosun who made the call while receiving top officials of Babcock University, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ademola Tayo, at his office, in Abeokuta, said every state in Nigeria now needs universities to develop capacity in researches, to help in tackling societal problems.

The Vice Chancellor commended Governor Amosun for investing in the education sector, and spoke on the agricultural project the university intends to execute in the state.
