Ogun State All Progressives Congress (APC) has initiated moves to resolve the leadership dispute, which splits it into factions, since the eve of 2015 polls, ahead of 2019 polls.
As part of the moves, Governor Ibikunle Amosun met with leaders of Osoba faction at a close door meeting, lasting about an hour on Thursday, at the Governor’s Office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
The meeting, which is coming up two days to the APC ward congress, is the first of such meeting since they parted ways before the 2015 polls.
Leaders of the Osoba Faction at the meeting included Senators Gbenga Obadara, Akin Odunsi, and Gbenga Kaka, as well as Mr Adekunle Adeyemi, Abiodun Balogun, Bukola Braimo and Chief Yemi Sanusi.
The Governor told newsmen after the meeting that it is crucial for the progress of APC, adding that it has confirmed that the party remains united.
Senator Odunsi who led the Osoba APC Faction to the meeting, said it is a family reunion, adding that they were happy with the outcome of the meeting.
