Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state has asked civil servants in the state to be more proactive in the new year to enable the state government to generate more revenue and execute more developmental projects.
Amosun made the call at a valedictory programme organized for the Head of the Civil Service, Elder Sola Adeyemi who retired on Wednesday and 16 permanent secretaries who retired last year at the Arcade Ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Civil servants, according to the governor have a lot more to do in driving the economy and the developmental growth of the state.
Amosun described the retired head of service and permanent secretaries as the major team players in the actualization of the five cardinal programmes of his administration.
The retiring Head of Service, who is the state’s fifteenth, in his valedictory speech charged civil servants to continue to remain dedicated and uphold the ethics of the service.
The retired permanent secretaries are Pharmacist Matthew Adewunmi, Doctor Daisi Odeniyi, Engineer Taiwo Lawal, Reverend Ibikunle Onasanya, Alhaji Muktar Sobiye, Mrs. Olabisi Akinnuga, and Alhaji Nurudeen Oyedele.
Others include, Adekunle Bammeke, Emmanuel Ofor, Julius Olatoye, Isaac Osunjimi, Muyiwa Adenopo, Tokunbo Owootomo, Ayotunde Kolawole and Abidemi Adelekan.
