Amosun appoints new Head of Service

Governor Ibikunle Amosun has appointed Mr Abayomi Sobande as the new Head of the Civil service of Ogun state.

Secretary to the state government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, in a statement said the governor also appointed Chief Tolu Odebiyi as his new Chief of Staff.

The new Head of Service, who replaced Elder Sola Adeyemi, who retired from service last Wednesday, was until his new appointment, the permanent secretary in the state Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Sobande who joined the Ogun State Civil Service in 1985 as an assistant secretary (recruitment and training), hails from Ewekoro in the Ogun Central senatorial disctrict.

The new Chief of Staff, Tolu Odebiyi, until his new appointment was a member of Ogun State Judicial Service Commission and the transitional council on Housing.

The new appointees, including the new commissioner, Mrs. Adepeju Adebajo will be sworn-in on Monday, 9thjanuary, by the governor.
