Governor Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State has vacated the Government House, Lafia, two days to the end of his tenure.
Members of the Governor’s family had earlier moved out of the Government House.
Governor Al-Makura handed over the keys of the Government House to the incoming Governor, Abdullahi Sule, on Monday morning at a brief ceremony held in Lafia.
Al-Makura, who says he is leaving the State better than he met it, immediately departed the Government House with his personal aides after handing over the keys of the Government House to the Governor Elect.
The Governor Elect appreciates the gesture, saying he closely monitors Governor Al-Makura, adding that he is not taking anything out of the Government House.
