Ogun State APM governorship candidate, prince Abdulkabir Akinlade, says it has formally filed his notice of appeal at the supremecourt, challenging the election of governor Dapo Abiodun in the March 9 governorship poll.
The state governorship petitions tribunal and an appeal court in Ibadan, had earlier dismissed his petitions against the poll’s results and upheld the election of Abiodun.
Akinlade in a statement by his media aide, Azeez Adelani, said the appeal was filed at the apex court on Saturday.
The APM governorship candidate explained that his resolve to pursue his petition against the result of the poll, was based on constitutionality, and the alleged mandate given to him by voters during the March 9 governorship poll
