Ajimobi warns Oyo striking workers

*Says no-work-no-pay policy in place

Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has warned the State’s striking Civil Servants that they will not be paid for the period they stay away from duty.

The governor issued the warning, as the striking workers and Labour Leaders staged a massive anti-government protest march which grounded activities in Ibadan, the state capital.

Ajimobi who monitored the attendance of workers at the Government Secretariat, said the work-no-pay policy would be vigorously enforced against the striking civil servants, while asking the Labour Leaders cordinating the strike to imbibe Modern Day Unionism.

Accusing the Labour Leaders of adopting a Stone Age labour practice, the Governor said Modern Day Unionism involves engagement, consultation, and productivity.
