The shelved meeting of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has again failed to share the revenue for the month of May by the three tiers of government.
The meeting, which lasted less than an hour on Thursday in Abuja, was the fourth in the last two weeks to be inconclusive, making it difficult for most of the state governments to pay June salaries to civil servants.
Chairman of the Finance Commissioners Forum, Mahmood Yunusa, addressing newsmen after the deadlocked meeting, said they will reconvene after the dispute over the revenue figure presented by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, is resolved.
He explained that the dispute is being addressed at the highest level of government.
The state governments have rejected the revenue put on the table for sharing, insisting that N40 billion mist be added to it.
