Again, JAMB Remits N5 Billion Into Federal Coffer From 2019 UTME

JAMB arrests 25 persons for extortion, sale of UTME materials

Again, the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has remitted n5 billion the Federal Government’s coffer after conducting the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

JAMB Spokesman, Doctor Fabian Benjamin, who made this known in the JAMB weekly bulletin, says the Presidency had returned n2 billion out of the remitted to enhance the operation of the examination body.

JAMB, under the leadership of Professor Ishaq Oloyede, also remitted n5billion into Federal coffer after conducting the 2017 UTME, and n7 billion from its conduct of 2018 edition of the examination.

Meanwhile, several of the candidates who wrote the 2019 UTME have been complaining that they could not access their results on phone as directed by JAMB.

Benjamin, who blames the challenge on the service providers, says they had been assured that the problems will be resolved.

He adds that after the challenge has been addressed, JAMB will paste the results on its website for print-out by candidates.
