Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been humiliated by Barea of Madagascar losing two-zero in their last group –b match at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Nomen-Jana-Hary capitalized on Leon Balogun’s defensive blunder to give the debutants Madagascar side early lead in the 13th minute before Andria-Matis-Noro increased the tally through a well-taken free-kick in the 53rd minute.
Gernot Rohr second half introduction of mid-fielder, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon and Alex Iwobi did not make much difference as Eagles failed to convert few chances created in the match played at the Alexandria City Stadium.
With the result, Madagascar emerged the group winner with seven points, closely followed by Nigeria with six points while Guinea came third with four points after beating. Burundi by two-zero in the group’s other match.
