The Abraham Adesanya ICT Polytechnic, Ijebu-Igbo, has requested the Ogun state House of Assembly for an upward review of its proposed N230 million expenditure to N450 million, ahead of the passage of the state’s 2017 appropriation bill.
The Polytechnic Rector, Professor Bukola Bilesanmi-Awoderu made the call while defending the institution’s N60million budgetary allocation for capital projects and N200 million revenue projection before the Finance and Appropriation Committee of the state House of Assembly.
She explained that the proposed increase in the polytechnic’s budgetary vote if approved by the assembly, will accommodate the salary bill of the newly promoted staff.
The committee chairman, Olusola Bankole promised the review of the current and capital expenditure of the institution in the proposed budgetary estimate.
