Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) is in talks with the accord party, ahead of Ogun State’s 2019 governorship poll.
A top leader of ADC in the state, Chief Joju Fadairo, who made this known, explained that the ongoing talks is considering a merger of the two parties, before the poll.
Fadairo, a former state PDP chairman, spoke on a Rockcity FM Programme: ‘Daybreak show’ also said that ADC is also in talks with Labour Party.
The proposed ADC/accord merger if actualized, according to him, will provide a formidable platform capable of defeating the ruling APC in 2019.
A governorship aspirant from Yewa axis of the state, Prince Gboyega Isiaka, who recently agreed to work with Senator Solomon Adeola, Alias Yayi, may likely contest the 2019 poll on the platform of ADC.
According to him, four political parties, including APC, PDP, ADC are gradually emerging as strong contender s for the 2019 poll, while predicting that Ogun West will produce the next governor of the state.
Fadairo said although Ogun Central is not expected to field governorship candidate in 2019, no candidate from either Ogun West or Ogun East could win without support of voters from the zone.
