The Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has been confirmed, as the substantive Inspector General of Police.
Adamu was confirmed at the meeting of the Police Council in Abuja.
The meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja.
Adamu was appointed as the Acting Inspector General of Police last year, following the retirement of Ibrahim Idris.
