Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State says his administration will complete all the ongoing road projects inherited from the Amosun’s administration.
Abiodun, speaking at the Post Inauguration Thanksgiving Service at the Cathedral Church of Saint Peter, Ake, Abeokuta, said he did not believe that projects which were initiated before he assumed Office should be abandoned.
He explained that such projects, if abandoned, would amount to a wastage of the tax payers funds and detrimental to the growth of the State.
The Governor said he had informed each Local Governments to submit a list of rural roads, which is of priority to their economy, for immediate rehabilitation.
Abiodun also promised to drive the provision of social amenities through the public private partnership to improve the economy of the State.
The Diocesan Bishop of Egba, Reverend Emmanuel Adekunle in his sermon, urged Abiodun to remain humble as he was before becoming the Governor of the State.
He implored the Governor to seek for political guidance from party leaders and be wary of last minutes friends who are only interested in appointments.
At the event were Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako Oyedele, the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Suraj Adekunbi, Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, Aremo Olusegun Osoba and Otunba Gbenga Daniel as well as Senator Elect, Tolu Odebiyi.
Others were the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, the Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle and the Awujale of Ijebuland represented by Oba Rasak of Ago Iwoye.
