Governor Dapo Abiodun will on Tuesday, next week, presents the Ogun State’s 2020 budget proposal to the state house of assembly for consideration and passage.
The state assembly speaker, Olakunle Oluomo made this known while reading a letter from the governor during the house plenary in Abeokuta.
The State Government at its treasury board meeting on Monday, had proposed expenditure totaling n285 billion for its services in 2020
The proposed 2020 budget bill is lower than the outgoing 2019 n400 billion
The State House of Assembly during the Tuesday plenary passed the bill seeking the establishment of the state public private partnership office to promote the development of infrastructure and service delivery in the state
The bill provides for partnership between the state government and organized private sector in the provision of roads and other infrastructure through build, own, operate and transfer arrangement
The speaker asked the clerk of the house to send the clean copy of the bill to the governor for his assent.
Meanwhile the state house of assembly has fixed next week, Wednesday for a public hearing on two bills, seeking the creation of the state sports commission and the state sports trust fund.
The speaker asks all stakeholders in sports sector to attend and present their positions papers at the public session to reposition sports in the state.
