The Court of Appeal says 736 petitions have so far been filed by aggrieved politicians to challenge the outcome of the just concluded Presidential, Senate, House of Reps, Governorship and State House of Assembly Polls.
Chief Registrar of the Elections Petitions Tribunals of the Appeal Court, Mrs. Rabbi Abdulazeez, releases the data on the petitions filed at the Polls Petitions Tribunals.
The breakdown of the petition shows that four petitions were filed to challenge the results of the February 23 Presidential Poll.
Also, 207 petitions were filed against the results of the Senatorial Poll, and 360 petitions to challenge the results of the House of Representatives Poll, both held on February 23.
The Governorship Poll also attracted 101 petitions, while 381 petitions were filed against the results of the State House of Assembly Poll.
