Ogun State government has received bids from over 500 contractors for the construction of 25 semi urban and 171 rural roads projects in the state.
Deputy Governor Yetunde Onanuga who presided over the bidding at the Obas Complex at the Governor’s Office, Oke Mosan in Abeokuta, said reputable construction companies in the country will be considered in the execution of the projects.
Contract for the road projects, she assured will be awarded based on merit.
Some of the roads approved for rehabilitation are Oke Aregba – Labaiwa road to Asero; Abule Oloni Lantoro – Olorunsogo; Elite Road to Abiola Way; Sokenu/ Akolade Street to Ago-Egun and Majekodunmi Road, Ikereku, and McGregor road, Iberekodo, Ita Oshin-Ibara Orile road, Federal Secretariat-Lukosi all in Abeokuta.
Others are Adedotun road, Ikija- Ikereku, Ita Balogun Street, Araromi Street, Ago Oko- Ijemo Road, Ago Oko, Iso-Olo road – Igbore- Itoku – Itoku Market and Ogun Radio via Ita-Ogboni, Imo, Igbein to Itoku market, Iberekodo-Akomoje Road, also in Abeokuta.
Others are Ibogun Ipake to Bank junction in Ifo, Ota –Ayetoro road, Owode-Ilaro road, Ilogbo-Iju road, Aiyetoro-Imasayi, Ifo-Ososun road, Igan-Ago-Iwoye road, Igbeba road, Ijebu Ijesa–Okunowa, Ijebu Mushin, Owu–Ikija in Ijebu axis among others.
