An estimated 446 Nigerians are now being held in various prisons in the United Arab Emirates.
Nigeria’s Ambassador to the UAE, Ambassador Mohammed Rimi, announces this in Dubai, at a recent meeting of President Buhari with Nigerians residents in the country.
The Ambassador says the Nigerians were being held in prisons over drugs and other crimes.
A few days ago, five Nigerians were arrested in the middle east nation, for robbing a bureau de change.
Two days after, a Nigerian was also arrested in Dubai with a large quantity of substance suspected to be cocaine.
