INEC Ballot Box

The Ogun state office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it still have more than 400,000 permanent voter cards (PVCs) yet to be collected by registered voters in the state

The agency explained that a little over 400 of the PVC cards were collected by their owners at its offices in the state 20 local government areas, before the last October 8 councils’ polls in the state.

The state INEC administrative secretary, Aderinto Ajibade in an interview with Rockcity FM in Abeokuta, said that majority of the registered voters yet to claim their PVC were students of tertiary institutions who left the state on completion of their academic programmes.

He enjoined them to go to the INEC offices in their local government areas where they registered and exchange their Temporary Voter Cards (TVC) with PVC, before applying for the transfer of their cards to their present place of residence.
