Osinbajo cautions state government against over taxing of business enterprises

Osinbajo signs two bills to law

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has cautioned the state governments against over taxing of business enterprises in their states.

Osinbajo spoke at the Leadership Newspapers Award and Conference 2017 in Abuja, told the state governors to resist the temptation of over taxing to increase their Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

The goal of increasing IGR at all cost, according to the vice president, could kill entrepreneurs and investors in their states, thereby affecting the growth of their economy.

Governors, according to him, should always think beyond a four year or eighth year term, in order to build a solid foundation for the economic growth of their states that their successors will build upon.
