338,227 shortlisted for police 10,000 jobs

About 573,211 candidates out of 911,438 who applied for the advertised 10,000 police jobs have been disqualified from the first phase of the recruitment exercise.

Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Mike Okiro, who announced this in Abuja at a news conference, said 338,227 applicants shortlisted will undergo screening on June 6, in 36 states and Federal Capital Territory.

Okiro said 44,661 of them were shortlisted for Cadet Assistant Superintendent, 87,736 for Cadet Inspectors and 205,830 for the Police Constable.

He said that successful candidates from the screening exercise would be invited for screening at the 12 zonal police headquarters, before the national screening in Abuja.
