2778 Nigerians in Libyan detention camps ready for repatriation

Avoid Libya or get killed - Presidency warns Nigerians

An estimated 2,778 Nigerian migrants have been registered by foreign affairs ministry in the accessible detention camps in Libya.

The ministry in a statement, said the illegal migrants were registered during the visit of its officials to the various detention camps in the war torn country.

According to the ministry, those registered were immediately issued with emergency travel certificates to facilitate their repatriation back home.

Up to date, the ministry said it had repatriated 3,000 of the stranded Nigerians at the rate of 250 weekly, with the collaboration with the International Organization for Migration
