21 students, three teachers die in ghastly autocrash in Kano

Pregnant woman, five others killed in fatal Abeokuta autocrash

Gaya community in Bauchi State is still mourning, following the death of 21 students and three teachers of the Government Day Junior Secondary School, Misau in a ghastly auto crash.

The students and their teachers were on an excursion to Kano metropolis, when the accident occurred on the Kano-Gaya highway, near Tsaida village in the Gaya local government area.

The bus they were travelling in collided with an articulated truck  loaded with tomato, as both of them attempted avoid a big pothole on the highway.

Spokesman of the state police command, Magaji Majia, disputes the casualty figure, saying only 22 died in the auto crash.
