2019: Oshiomhole said APC will win Ogun polls without Amosun’s support

National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, has said that the party will win the Ogun state 2019 governorship poll, without the support of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Oshiomhole said, APC will also win the Imo state governorship poll without the support of Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Governor Amosun has vowed not to work for APC governorship candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun, but mobilize all resources at his disposal to back his preferred governorship candidate, Abdulkadir Akinlade, on the platform of allied people’s movement.

But Oshiomhole, receiving APC women leaders from Edo state at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, said despite Amosun’s position, the popularity of APC is now much higher than ever in Ogun state.

He assures that the pronouncement of Amosun that he will only work for the APM governorship candidate will not affect the political fortune of APC during the governorship poll.

According to Oshiomhole, electorate in Ogun state are one of Nigeria’s most enlightened and will vote for APC governorship candidate during the 2019 polls.

He also said, Governor Amosun ought to have stopped some of his aides from defecting from APC to APM, if he is interested in true reconciliation on the controversy trailing the disputed primaries.
