The Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, has asked politicians to drop the attitude of winning polls at all costs.
He urges them to realise that everything in life is transient and work for the benefits of their people.
The Akarigbo made the call in Ilaro, while speaking to newsmen, during a thank-you-visit to the olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde olugbenle in his palace.
The monarch also calls on Yoruba people in the south west region to speak with one voice on national issues, or they will suffer relegation in the scheme of things.
Yoruba, according to the Akarigbo will attain their rightful position in Nigeria if they intensify further integrate and look after each other.
